What do superheroes mean for you? Do you have a favourite? These are the types of questions interns at Marvel asked members of the public on this day in 1995 when National Superhero Day was born. In recent years, this day has been enthusiastically celebrated everywhere from schools to children’s hospitals with volunteers dressing up as the iconic heroes and paying a surprise visit to the wards. Regardless of how you answered the above questions, it’s clear that superheroes mean something to children and adults alike to have spanned across TV, books, comics, films and countless other platforms, now including Blackout Roller blinds.
