Standing for Advanced Solar Control, some Pleated fabrics have a special coating applied to the reverse to reflect heat and UV rays. This reflective coating will be visible on the outside of the window.
Use a feather duster, or the brush attachment on a hoover, to remove any dust from pleated fabric. Perfect Fit Pleated blinds can be cleaned using a clean damp cloth. This includes the fabric and the frame, which can also be buffed with a clean dry microfibre cloth afterwards. We do not recommend the use of abrasive cleaning sponges or scourers.
Pleated fabric is formed using a single layer of fabric that is folded and pressed into a concertina style. Plisse is another term used for Pleated fabrics. As it is a single layer of fabric, the cords of each blind are visible. Honeycomb fabric is formed by two layers of fabric (folded and pressed in a similar way to pleated) before being glued together to form a cellular structure. The cords run through the centre of the fabric so are not visible from the front or back.
Perfect Fit® blinds will not damage your window seals when installed correctly. They are designed to clip in between the window seal and the frame so the window seal remains intact.
