Intu Honeycomb Blinds
Made to Measure Intu Honeycomb Blinds for Windows & Doors
Each blind is made to measure to your visible glass size, allowing the Intu system to clip neatly into the window bead without drilling into surrounding surfaces. Intu honeycomb blinds use vertical side profiles that run down the edge of the glass, securing the top and bottom brackets so the blind operates smoothly without shifting.
The correct side profile depends on your window bead shape, typically rounded, square or lipped. Side profile sample kits are available so you can check the fit against your window before ordering.
Intu honeycimb blinds have no face-fixed brackets and no hanging cords. They are typically installed on uPVC windows, tilt and turn windows, conservatories, French doors, and bay windows. On frequently used windows and doors, the contained design keeps the blind aligned within the glazed panel while allowing smooth operation.
Intu honeycomb blinds are not suitable for sliding patio doors, as the Intu frame sits within the glass area and would interfere with the sliding function.
Why Choose Intu Honeycomb Blinds?
Honeycomb blinds differ from standard pleated or Venetian blinds because of their double-layer cellular construction. The fabric traps air within structured pockets, creating a thermal buffer between the glass and the room. That design offers several practical advantages:
Improved thermal performance: The cellular structure can help reduce heat loss in winter and moderate heat gain in summer, particularly on exposed or south-facing windows.
Soft light diffusion: Layered cellular fabric filters daylight evenly across the room. Blackout and non-blackout fabrics are available, and the close-fitting Intu frame keeps side light bleed to a minimum.
Reduced glare without slat lines: Unlike Venetian blinds, honeycomb fabrics avoid horizontal shadow lines across the room.
Compact, contained fitting: When paired with the Intu system, the blind sits neatly within the glazing area without external hardware.
Child safe design: No dangling cords or looped chains, making them compliant with UK child safety regulations.
Honeycomb blinds are particularly suited to living rooms, bedrooms, conservatories and home offices where insulation and light control are preferred over directional slat adjustment.
Measuring Your Intu Honeycomb Blinds
Correct measuring is essential with no-drill systems. The blind sits within the window bead, so accurate dimensions ensure the blind operates smoothly and the brackets fit correctly.
We recommend measuring in millimetres using a steel tape measure, checking the visible glass area in at least three places across both the width and the drop, and using the smallest measurement recorded.
We provide detailed measuring guides to help you do this step by step. If you’re unsure, many customers send photos so our team can help confirm suitability before you order.
Free samples are also available to help you check fabric colour, texture and light control in your own home.
