Made to Measure Perfect Fit® Pleated Window Blinds for Windows & Doors

Perfect Fit® pleated window blinds are designed to sit flush within the glazed area, making them particularly useful on windows and doors that are opened regularly. Because the blind moves with the window, there’s no swinging fabric and no need to raise the blind to access handles.

They are regularly installed on uPVC windows, French doors, conservatories, bay windows (with one blind per pane), and many bi-fold door installations.

Because each blind is made to measure to your visible glass size, the frame and fabric are prepared specifically for your window before dispatch. There is no trimming or adjustment required during fitting, which keeps installation straightforward and consistent. The close-fitting design keeps the blind protected within the frame, helping maintain alignment and reduce everyday wear.

The close-fitting design keeps the blind protected within the frame, which helps maintain alignment and reduces everyday wear. Perfect Fit® Pleated blinds are not suitable for sliding doors, as the aluminium frame sits proud of the glass and would interfere with door movement.

Where Perfect Fit® Pleated Blinds Work Best

Perfect Fit® Pleated blinds are typically chosen where a lighter, softer window covering is preferred over structured slats. The single-layer fabric creates a clean finish against the glass while maintaining a slim profile within the frame.

They are commonly used in:

Bedrooms: Blackout fabric options help reduce early morning light, while standard fabrics soften daylight without fully darkening the room.

Conservatories: Pleated fabrics diffuse glare across larger glazed areas, reducing harsh sunlight while keeping the space bright.

Living areas: Provide privacy during the day without introducing horizontal slat lines or heavier fabric folds.

Glazed doors: The contained frame keeps the blind aligned against the glass, preventing sway during regular use.

If insulation is a high priority, Perfect Fit® Honeycomb blinds may be a better alternative. Honeycomb fabrics use a layered cellular structure to trap air at the window, offering improved insulation compared to single-layer pleated fabric.

Choosing Perfect Fit® Pleated Blinds Over Other Styles

Perfect Fit® Pleated blinds are chosen where a lighter fabric finish is preferred over structured slats or heavier framed systems. The single-layer pleated fabric creates a clean, uniform appearance at the glass, without visible slat lines or rigid panels.

Unlike Perfect Fit® Venetian or Wooden blinds, pleated blinds do not use tilting slats. Light is softened through the fabric itself rather than angled directionally, creating a more diffused effect that suits living spaces and conservatories where glare reduction is often more important than precise light direction.

Compared to Perfect Fit® Roller blinds, the pleated fabric stacks more compactly when raised and introduces subtle texture at the window rather than a single flat fabric panel.

FAQ for Perfect Fit® Pleated Blinds

No. Perfect Fit® Pleated blinds use a clip-in frame that sits between the glass and the window bead, so no screws or adhesives are required.
Pleated blinds are not blackout by default. However, blackout fabric options are available and are commonly chosen for bedrooms or rooms where reducing light is important.
They can be suitable for many uPVC bi-fold doors where each glazed panel can be fitted individually. It’s important to check clearance, as the frame may affect how doors fold in some configurations.
Pleated blinds use a single layer of folded fabric, while honeycomb blinds use two layers joined together to form a cellular structure that improves insulation and conceals internal cords.
