The Best Blinds for Children’s Bedrooms
We understand that there are so many factors to consider when purchasing new blinds for your little ones’ room, which is why we are here to help! Style, theme, safety, control, and practicality are just a few of the factors that you will be considering before your purchase, so we have broken this blog down into these elements to help you!
There are so many blind types to choose from, but which will be the best option for your child’s bedroom? We would recommend a banlight roller blind for a child’s bedroom due to the simplistic style and practical nature (and don’t worry… they wipe clean!). Banlight roller blinds will also keep as much light out of their room as possible, which is perfect for those long summer days.
There are so many patterns, themes and designs to choose from for your children’s roller blind! Whether they are into Disney princesses, dinosaurs, spaceships, or Toy Story – we have it all! We also have a range of neutral, plain coloured blinds if you want a more simplistic and timeless look within their room.
Safety is the most crucial factor to consider when purchasing a blind for your child’s bedroom. There are a few different options that you can choose from to ensure that your roller blind is completely child safe. The first option is a spring-loaded roller blind, which works with no chain. Alternatively, they can also be operated with a chain, which has an in-build safety system to comply with child safety regulations. Roller blinds cannot be within 60cm of the floor, and they must also have two chain break connectors that come apart under any undue load but can be clipped back together again. Another option with roller blinds would be to use our ‘Perfect Fit’ system, which means that your roller blinds are fitted within a frame that simply clicks into your window, with no screwing or drilling required.
Roller blinds are an extremely easy blind to control. If your roller blind is spring operated, you can simply pull it up or down to open or close the blind. If it is chain operated, you can simply pull the chain to open or close the blind. If you choose a perfect fit roller blind, your blind will be spring operated and can be controlled by pulling the blind up and down using the handle. You can even motorise your roller blind, and control it from a remote control or even an app on your phone!
As we said previously, roller blinds are extremely practical, as you have the option for them to be banlight, which will block out as much of the light coming from your window as possible. They are also extremely easy to clean, so if your little one gets mucky hands on them, you can easily and quickly wipe them clean!
